We build data-driven platforms that automatically forecast volumes, instruct our plants what to produce and when, process electronic orders and invoices, operate warehouses, optimize shipping of goods and help our customers optimize their physical and virtual shelves.​

Problem Statement

The lion share of P&G’s growth is in Digital Commerce. Digital business (Online Shopping) models are expected to contribute more than 50% to P&G’s sales within this decade. The ever-increasing expectations of digital shoppers present a set of unique challenges to consumer goods companies and their partners, such as how product availability is managed, how fulfillment to the end consumer is optimized in terms of cost, cashflow and carbon emissions etc.

Idea/Solution 

Our Supply Chain IT team created a dedicated digital commerce product that optimizes digital commerce fulfillment end-to-end, from the demand forecast to the way orders are processed and fulfilled, all the way to how P&G products are presented to the end consumer in our retail partners’ physical and digital stores. 

Strategy to Win
The Digital product team is closely connected to the Business Units and Market Operations and combines cross-functional knowledge that was traditionally developed in functional silos. Our decision-making process is driven by analytics, allowing us to make informed choices based on data. Furthermore, we have automated these decisions and taken proactive measures to ensure efficient execution. We take an agile approach to build applications, combine the strengths of our core ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) platforms with the flexibility and scale of a continuously evolving ecosystem of microservices.
