Preventative Maintenance Technician

As a Preventative Maintenance Technician in our Andover Manufacturing Site, you will be responsible for managing specific plant projects and providing specialized technical services to the site.
Responsibilities and Scope of Role:
Reduce the number of breakdowns and improve maintenance procedures
Update standards and procedures, and reduce maintenance costs (parts & labor)
Improve equipment performance and predictability due to percent increase of planned maintenance work
Plan & Schedule Maintenance Work
Analyze failures to Eliminate Repeat Breakdowns
Track and Report Maintenance Indicator Results and In Process Measures
Develop and Implement Improvement Plans
Champion and Lead the Continuous Improvement Process

Qualifications
We are seeking individuals with the following skills:
1-3 years preferred experience in a relevant role
Knowledge or experience in Maintenance Planning and Scheduling and Breakdown Elimination
Understanding of SAP Maintenance and Storeroom preferred
Strong organizational and technical skills
Strong time management, communication, and training skills
A great work ethic, self-drive, and an eagerness to learn new skills
A positive attitude, a strong sense of ownership in your work, and a high level of integrity
Basic competence in computer skills
We believe in order to be able to perform on the job, you will need to meet the following physical requirements:
Use basic hand and power tools
Be medically and physically fit to operate in a manufacturing environment
Lift 50 pounds by bending and stooping; climb, stand, and move around on stairs, ladders and platforms; twist, turn and bend
Enter confined spaces
Stand on concrete floors for an extended period of time
Also consider the following requirements for the position, as you must:
Be 18 years of age or older
Have a minimum of a high school diploma, GED or equivalent education
Be able to wear required safety personal protective equipment (eye protection, ear protection, safety shoes, etc.)
The Procter & Gamble Massachusetts Andover Plant currently operate on a 5 & 7-day week schedule. We rely on local talent and relocation is generally not paid. Technicians work on fixed shift schedules throughout the week (shift schedule depends on the site and department you are placed in). Technicians are expected to be willing to work any shift, day or night. Additional days may be required to be worked as overtime, including work on weekends, which may be as overtime or as part of the Technician's normal schedule. Changes in business volume and production requirements can cause the Plant to occasionally change the length of work shifts or schedule.
