Procter & Gamble is one of the largest and most admired companies in the world. From the moment we went into business over 175 years ago, we have been committed to our Purpose, Values and Principles (PVP), the foundation of our past and future success. At P&G we take pride in “doing the right thing” for consumers, customers, shareholders, employees and our communities. P&G develops some of the strongest business leaders globally to grow our market leading brands and to better serve our consumers in approximately 70 countries worldwide.
Finance & Accounting at P&G plays a leadership role in strategy setting, decision making, business planning and analysis across all aspects of the business. In addition, we lead Company efforts in Tax, Treasury, M&A, Corporate Strategy, Accounting and Internal Controls. Within the Business Units, you will work as the finance leader on a multi-functional team responsible for a brand or category. Within these teams, you will find strong collaboration among team members and an environment where all opinions are valued and encouraged to be shared. The focus is to win as a team with strong individual contributions.
A P&G career is filled with meaningful, challenging and diverse assignments intended to sharpen your functional skills while building out your broader business and leadership skills. We focus on your development. Early in your career, we offer a rotational assignment model where employees change assignments every 2 to 3 years. Over the course of your career, you will likely work in all areas of the business including: Brand/Region/Global Business Units, Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, Supply Chain Finance, Sales Finance, Corporate Shared Services Finance and Research & Development Finance. As you progress, you may have the opportunity to work globally – via business travel or to complete a 3 to 4-year assignment in Europe, Asia, Middle East / Africa or Latin America. If you prefer, you may also choose to “specialize” in a certain area like Tax, Treasury, Accounting or Internal Controls. This enables you to become a “subject matter” expert for the Company. At P&G, we want to help build the career path that is right for you.
At P&G, we are invested in your success. Nearly all P&G Senior Leaders started at entry level. Our “promote from within” approach requires us to do more. Along with challenging and diverse assignments, you will receive strong support from your manager, mentors and peers. You will receive training to help build your skills beyond what you will learn in your current assignment and to help advance your development as a leader in the company
P&G wants you to join us for a career and not just an assignment. We focus on our employee’s well-being and know work-life balance is a critical part of you performing at your peak over the long haul. P&G offers a compensation package which is designed to be competitive with the top companies across the US. As a P&G intern you are considered a “temporary employee,” and your internship will have an official starting an ending date. Our internship program is viewed as our primary opportunity to hire top talent for eventual full-time employment. During your internship, you will be placed in one of our many business units, and you will be given projects that will need to be completed. These projects are designed around current issues facing the business, and your recommendations will be considered by the business unit for implementation.
