Accountable for the base capability and capacity of suppliers. Responsibilities include leading the SLEA process, developing and aligning Supplier Action Plans, developing and optimizing supplier driven material inventory targets, and executing material changes associated with initiatives and cost savings projects. Has the primary responsibility for holding the Supplier accountable when P&G experiences a missed expectation of the Supplier’s performance and will confirm resolution to root cause. Partners with Planning to solve systemic issues and drive continual improvement.
Job Qualification1: Leadership - experience in system ownership, providing guidance and direction to others in a team. Lead the Carton and Corrugate Strategy team meetings.
Job Qualification2: Problem Solving & Decision Making – able to collect & analyze data, identify trends & lead problem solving & resolution to root cause. Score carding & material RCCP/C:D analysis are standard monthly processes.
Job Qualification3: Communication / Influence- Communicates effectively written & orally within team & with key business partners. Actively participates & contributes to meetings & project teams.
Job Qualification4: Thinks & Acts Decisively - Successful candidate must be able to collect & assess data, current situation, known future changes to make best overall decisions for material supply chains they are managing.
Job Qualification5: Builds Diverse & Collaborative Relationships – Ability to build diverse & collaborative relationships is very critical as role interfaces with plant management & CMs, R&D, QA, Purchases, SIP, IOL’s and Material Steering teams.
Job Qualification6: Leverages Mastery to Innovate & Reapply – Prior MSM or SIP experience is strongly preferred to enable leveraging of skills in all areas of MSM (Strategic Material Supply, Material Supply Network Capability, Materials Supply Network Optimization, & Material Launch & Change). SAP & CSP-BW reports. Intermediate level Excel skills preferred but demonstrated strong basic skills required (Pivot Tables).
Skills Needed to Perform This Job: MSM or SIP Basic or Intermediate are a plus, pursues continuous learning, Continuous improvement & loss elimination mindset
Skills You Can Expect to Learn/Build in This Job : Intermediate / Advanced MSM & Supplier Operational Management skills. Broad business & industry understanding in how to work with suppliers. This externally facing role builds skills in supplier management/optimization, leadership & collaboration skills to influence PS & cross functional teams.
