If this sounds like fun, we would love to hire someone with your skills and abilities to join our team working on new technology approaches to address unmet consumer needs and/or resolve technical tensions
This position includes crafting new molecules with the potential to deliver specific benefits. As well as synthesizing, characterizing and evaluating them for the target benefit. We feel that technical understanding of the consumer product formulations is necessary. A deep understanding of organic and polymer chemistry/science is will be advantageous. You will evaluate promising materials for in-use performance in consumer goods under a variety of conditions to aid development of structure/property/performance relationships that in turn will inform the design of new materials.
Other skills we are looking for you to have:
Knowledge of and experience with typical chemical transformations to understand and predict interactions of the new materials with the formula ingredients
Ability to synthesize and characterize new molecules
Familiarity with searching the chemical literature (STN, SciFinder) to streamline technical approaches
We believe you will be an excellent fit if, you have:
- A PhD in Organic, Physical, Polymer, Organometallic, or Inorganic Chemistry.
- Excellent verbal, written communication and technical skills (including Microsoft Office, ChemDraw)
