Description
Are you interested in innovating and making a difference while working for a global company? Are you excited to learn and apply contemporary safety assessment processes?

We have an immediate opening for a Toxicologist in the Human Safety group! In this role, you will understand and utilize current toxicological evaluation and product stewardship approaches to ensure that products are acceptable for their intended use and meet regulatory requirements. You will be an integral member of P&G’s Corporate Functions Global Product Stewardship, Human Safety organization and will be responsible for:

Applying safety science principles to develop chemical hazard assessments to ensure the safety of P&G ingredients and products. Responsibilities include determining strategy for assessment approach and developing, refining, and peer reviewing assessments. This role requires in-depth toxicological endpoint expertise.

Providing regulatory toxicology support for global chemical compliance programs (e.g., REACH, etc.) including the in-depth safety data review, risk assessment, and preparation of robust safety assessments for P&G critical ingredients across a diverse portfolio. Work includes assisting in the preparation of and the assessment/updating of registration dossiers in accordance with pertinent regulatory requirements and providing in-depth systemic toxicity data review and read-across.



Qualifications

Requirements (skills / experiences) for the role:

Ph.D. or related experience in Toxicology or Pharmacology or related field.

Background/experience in risk assessment, systemic endpoints, and read- across is preferred.

Effective application of basic scientific skills in a business environment, as well as the ability and capacity to learn contemporary risk assessment processes and related disciplines critical to providing assurance of safety for consumer products.

Excel at in-depth technical data review, interpretation, and communication of data and have strong attention to detail.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Capable of operating inclusively and effectively in a diverse environment across levels, cultures, regions/geographies, backgrounds, and disciplines.

Convey positions clearly and explain complex technical issues in a manner suitable to customers.

Excellent problem-solving skills and have the confidence to both understand the business and make critical decisions in a scientifically robust manner.

Strong collaboration skills. Collaborate and build strong relationships with partners, both internal and external.

A self-starter and able to work independently, yet also effectively collaborate and work with teams and colleagues.

Strong priority setting and ability to manage multiple competing and or shifting business priorities. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, while continuing to manage projects according to business needs.
