Do you love diving into science? Are you energized by the opportunity to translate insights into action that deliver measurable business results? The North America Pampers Research & Development team is seeking an enthusiastic scientist willing to learn and collaborate with multifunctional partners to design our next innovations that will go to market.

As an Associate Scientist on our Initiative R&D Team in Cincinnati, Ohio, you will use your technical curiosity, data analyses, and scientific background and experiences to design experiments and mine multiple sources of data and translate complex results into simple, yet meaningful conclusions and insights. These insights will influence our business strategy and will enable our multi-functional retail and brand team to win with consumers and deliver sustainable business results for our Company.

This is an important role in our Pampers portfolio that serves babies and children from newborn stage to toilet training. The opportunity to unlock key insights and directly translate them into product and communication strategies is unlimited and requires creative and experimental thinking. This requires close collaboration with our regional diaper teams and our global partners.

This is an entry level position for employees who develop proficiency in R&D Procedural work and expertise in Application work by combining hands-on experimentation with scientific principles and knowledge from science/engineering education to drive foundational technical understanding and solve technical problems. Delivers technical outputs which address critical innovation challenges and completion of key milestones. The ideal candidate will:

  • Be passionate about discovering new things and the ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing environments and diverse business scenarios
  • Have a strong track record for demonstrating key skills: being a strong communicator, being self-motivated to anticipate issues, and creating solutions and mitigation plans proactively.
  • Have a strong foundation in technical curiosity and research & development. Having experience working in a fast-paced environment and ability to flex between working independently and with multifunctional partners
  • Have an entrepreneurial mindset with a bias to action coupled with a lean learning mindset. Requires an ability to respond to the needs of the business with creativity and in an agile fashion.


    This assignment includes delivering important responsibilities for our initiative program, ensuring consumer insights are linked to wining product designs that are successful in market. This role involves technical curiosity, and attention to detail to ensure our consumers' needs are always heard and protected in our products.

    Qualifications include:

    • A Bachelor/Master's in STEM field
    • A strong foundation in technical curiosity and Research & Development
    • Experience conducting quantitative and qualitative analytic techniques to solve defined business problems
    • Currently reside within commuting distance to the Cincinnati Winton Hill Campus, or have the ability to relocate.
    • Some occasional travel will be required.
