PhD Data Science Internship - R&D
This role will leverage state of the art computer vision and deep learning techniques to automatically determine all products in an image of a consumer’s pantry or laundry cabinet. Computer vision algorithms have been developed to identify products in an image and we need to expand that capability to all products in an image when only a small portion of the product may actually be visible due to occlusion from other products. Partial data such as brand will be helpful in cases where full products cannot be determined. You will have access to Senior Data Scientists, substantial computing resources and images collected in consumer homes.
We are looking for someone with a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Statistics or closely related field. Strong Python coding skills. Experience with computer vision applications. Knowledge of and experience with Deep Learning methods including CNNs. Strong interpersonal communication skills.
