Packing Automation Systems Engineer (PC&IS)

From day 1, you'll be a key member of our Engineering team delivering new equipment and technology systems to our manufacturing sites. You’ll use your engineering degree and technical skills to lead the electrical design, programming and automation solutions needed to make each project a success!
This specific role is to be a Power, Control and Information Systems (PC&IS) Manager at our Swing Road manufacturing plant in Greensboro, NC. We are investing heavily into the site with new capacity and automation solutions, which provides an exciting opportunity to learn and optimize the technology going forward.
A Bachelors or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Robotics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Safety Engineering, Systems Engineering or Chemical Engineering (or other related degree and/or work-related experience).
- 1-4 years of Project Management experience
- Advanced skills in PC&IS technologies: PLCs, Networks, Motion Control, HMI, MAIT. Experience with safety PLCs and vision systems is a plus.
- Mastery of the Engineering Work Process (EWP).
What You'll Need to Be Successful in This Role:
- Process and/or Machine Control experience
- Demonstrated expertise with sensors, motors, PLCs, and Industrial Automation
- Robotics, Machine Vision, and Industrial Networking skills are a plus
- Technical Mastery:You should have a strong desire and/or curiosity to troubleshoot hard problems and develop new solutions. Have real passion for integrating technologies together to enable the future of Digital Manufacturing.
- Agility:Ability to quickly embrace and adapt to changes in project scope, schedule, and cost.
- Builds Diverse and Collaborative Relationships:Development of relationships will be critical to your success in supporting the business. You will work seamlessly with global engineering organizations and production sites.
