ROLE:  Individual is responsible to deliver Safety, Quality and Reliability for all Site Utility systems using IWS methodologies (AM, PM, UPS, RTT, LE, WPI, System Ownership, Area Ownership, etc.).  The individual is responsible for compliance with all corporate and validated standards.  The individual is responsible for building capability in self / others.  The individual is responsible for maintaining appearance and 5S standards in their ownership area and all utilities. 

ROLE ROTATION FREQUENCY:First Shift M-F 8hrs, Flow to Work as needed.  Flow to the work includes call-in, off-shift, weekend support, or flow to shift coverage as the business requires.  Holiday shutdown work (Easter, Thanksgiving, etc.) is REQUIRED.

ROLE LEVEL:  ENTRY LEVEL

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include but not necessarily limited to the following:

  • Operate all site utility systems including USP Water, Steam, Cooling Towers, Chillers, Air Compressors, UWTP, HVAC, Basins, etc.
  • HS&E ensure compliance with all regulatory permits and process safety standards
  • Quality ensure compliance with all corporate and validated standards such as Clean Design Standards, GMP’s, DSOP’s
  • Rigorous application of IWS tools/standards (AM, PM, UPS, BDE, WPI, etc.)
  • RTT DMS’s execute per site standard i.e., eDefect Handling, eCIL, eCenterline, etc., develop core team capability on these systems
  • Support projects and initiatives, ensure ISU/GSUM criteria are achieved
  • Reliability UPDT & Stops, lead UPS and BDE to root cause and implement countermeasures
  • System and Area Ownership
  • Functional Ownership:  Quality Functional Leader (QFL), Safety Functional Leader (SFL), etc.
  • Loss Elimination and Sustainability projects
  • Daily Direction Setting (DDS) execution
  • PDCA lead & execute KTM and 90-day action plans
  • TT&T, SME qualification, build capability self / others
  • Responding to utilities and facilities requests from customers
  • Facilitating emergency response (primarily fire)
  • Safely execute maintenance across all systems
  • PVP’s role model leadership, inclusion, and 5Es

Skills Expected to Acquire: 

  • Basic Utilities skill block, plus (2) Advanced skill blocks for a back-up system ownership area
  • Hands on maintenance – Utilities personnel typically perform most maintenance
  • HS&E compliance qualification
  • Quality compliance qualification:  Clean Design Standards, GMP’s, DSOP’s, etc.
  • IWS Phase Progression:  AM, PM, RTT, DDS, LE (UPS and WPI), etc.
  • Functional Ownership:  SFL, QFL, etc.

Qualifications
  • Experience with Utilities Systems (Steam, Compressed Air, Chilled Water, Purified Water, HVAC) is desired (not required)
  • IWS systems and tools
  • Computer skills – Excel, Word, SAP Maintenance, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership, technical mastery, initiative, and follow through
