Design Function - Packaging Design Manager - Guangzhou, China (社会招聘职位)
The selected candidate will be a part of our global Design team and responsible for leading the regional design and execution for beauty brand. This role is critical for achieving brilliant brand and portfolio design and execution by delivering a brand’s iconic expression. It requires strong project management combined with Design mastery and technical skills, to drive design intent and continuous improvement in a competitive beauty environment where the quality of design and execution is critical to win. This role is focused on package design and requires navigating and influencing P&G’s partners internally and externally (design agencies). Focused on managing the design to deliver the global intent with excellence.
- Defining direction, creating briefs and managing design agencies .
- Managing and protecting great design throughout the process, including influencing design makers within P&G.
- Regional Brand Adaptation: Includes managing regional and local design adaptations to ensure local execution meet local market requirements and are consistent with design intent and guidelines.
Strong design leadership skills with proven experience to effectively bring design strategy all the way to execution while fully articulating the target consumer and business needs.
Proven experience and a strong mastery, from product and package innovation. Passion and attention to detail/execution is critical to win in the category.
Exceptional collaboration/interdependence skills both within design, multi-functional partners and externally. Must have proven experience in collaborating effectively within and across geographic and organizational boundaries. Additionally, entrepreneurial spirit with regard to the ability to identify opportunities for design to make a business impact. Applicants need to have exceptional listening skills in order to understand and anticipate the needs as well as willingness to roll up the sleeves and execute with excellence.
Leverages design as a business practice. Must be able to integrate design into the business by applying design tools, principles and strategies. Strong influence skills are required to work with multifunctional teams and gain.
Operates with discipline/project management. Exceptional leadership skills and ability to lead multiple initiatives and manage complexity with excellence. Proven discipline, priority setting in managing and leading complex projects with effectiveness, from design strategy, consumer and customer understanding as well as excellence in execution, from 2D, 3D and prototyping/visualizing solutions. Resourcefulness and scarcity mindset is critical for the business.
Uses Empathy and non linear thinking: Must be able to see the consumer as a person and ideate solutions with the consumer in mind.
In touch: Must be able to focus externally on trends and the competitive landscape of the business.
Embraces change: candidate needs to be flexible in an environment of constant change.
Must be able to balance scale and complexity while delivering delightful experiences.
