We are actively looking for a Data Engineer to join our R&D Innovation Centre in Kornberg.

As part of the global Health Safety Environmental (HSE) group, you will develop the HSE data strategy considering existing systems (Intelex EHSQ Management System, SharePoints, PowerBI reports) and bring the date strategy it to life with cloud-based data systems in Azure, including user-friendly and customer focused methods for data entry and analysis.

In addition, you will develop apps and systems to digitize HSE work process in close cooperation with P&G locations and local HSE teams. To do this, you will use Azure and the MS PowerPlatform to create applications and make the resulting data centrally accessible for further use. 

With us you will:

  • Advance efforts to digitize and automate HSE work processes to reduce manual effort and touches across the HSE CoP, in manufacturing sites, Business Units and CF Engineering.

  • Build HSE data systems, apps and applications and use data for advanced analytic and predictive incident prevention methods that can be applied across all Business Units.

  • Work with manufacturing sites and Engineering partners to build capability to use digital HSE tools and help scaling applications across the whole HSE CoP; Globally, across multiple business units, geographies, and functions.

  • Become the "Single Point of Contact" for HSE data systems, HSE software applications and apps, integration of wearables (IOT) and use of digital technologies in the field of HSE.

  • You will influence and solve technical challenges and find secure, privacy-compliant, and cost-effective solutions. You will also become the global P&G trainer for HSE data systems and applications, ensuring knowledge transfer through online and face-to-face events.

  • Development of chatbot applications, the integration of IOT elements ("wearables") and sensors into the HSE data structures, the use of image processing systems for safety applications and machine learning to predict accident probabilities.


Qualifications

Apply if you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related subjects

  • Knowledge or experience in the following areas, ideally proven by Microsoft certifications:

  • MS Azure

  • Database systems and data lakes in Azure

  • Azure SQL and methods for data integration from different sources (APIs, ODATA, JSON, etc.)

  • MS Power Platform (PowerAutomate, PowerApps, PowerBI)

  • Office365 and SharePoints

  • Experience in creating a data strategy

  • Experience with data preparation, machine learning and image processing

  • Experience with common programming languages, e.g. Python

  • Experience with web development, HTML, CSS and JavaScript

  • Familiar with typical IT security measures (cyber security)

  • Fluency in English

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across functions and levels
