Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Technician
We are a leading Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) company manufacturing some of the world’s best loved brands such as Gillette, Fairy and Oral-B.
To elevate our production systems to high levels of reliability and flexibility we are looking to hire high-calibre, experienced electrical, control and instrumentation technicians to join our London (West Thurrock) Site. This role is specifically within our Beads department working on an exciting launch of new initiatives associated with the development of new products and technologies.
This role will suit someone who is looking for a career and not just a job; we are a build from within company and expect those recruited to want to be developed to move up our pay reward system.
Please note this is a day-based, rather than a shift-based role.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Testing and validating new equipment, integrating it on a production line and ensuring the safety, quality, and reliability of the machine.
Responding to production issues on the new equipment that require agile and flexible electrical support.
Coaching and building technical mastery within the line operations and support team to enable them to resolve software failures autonomously.
Fixing electrical and software defects, recording and executing technical improvements on new equipment. Constantly looking for ways to improve processes and systems.

Qualifications
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL:
Have a high level of electrical competence.
Have proven experience in either process or a production environment related to Fast Moving Consumer Goods or similar industry.
Have some experience in the following manufacturing processes including control logic systems, conveying systems, palletisers, high speed filling and packaging lines, control valves, pneumatic logic systems.
Experience in carrying out safety risk assessments.
Fluent ability to communicate in English.
