Data & Modeling Sciences - Director

As the Director of Consumer Research Analytics in R&D you will use your experience in advanced analysis and passion for managing/developing others to lead a passionate team of statisticians, data scientists, and data engineers to deliver breakthrough insights and business impact.
Data and Modeling Science is seeking an experienced manager to lead our consumer modeling and statistics capabilities for R&D. This person will be responsible for the development and delivery of advanced statistics and consumer modeling projects or related program activities, by managing a section of technologists and engaging with multi-functional technical and business partners to positively impact their business. This person will also lead our innovation program focused on advancing our consumer modeling capabilities for R&D in partnership with other organizations. This role has a strong lean innovation component to it to continue to stretch to new, more powerful, and more integrated consumer modeling capabilities. This role includes leadership of current programs innovating in this space, but it is expected that this manager will continue to stretch beyond these capabilities and establish new innovation spaces and business/organizational partnerships across R&D. This is a management role with responsibility for the organization management, training, development of the employees in the section, and project budgets with emphasis on enabling and encouraging deep technical rigor and mastery. This role also requires the partnership with multiple MS/PhD senior technologists and management peers across the Data and Modeling Science organization and R&D to deliver our mission.
· Experience in managing highly skilled quantitative organization and driving them towards delivery of key milestones.
· Experience in creating an innovation vision and strategy for advanced technical talent and driving a team to explore what's possible for next generation capabilities, yet stay grounded in what's possible to deliver today towards that goal.
· Experience in engaging and partnering with managers, senior managers, and advanced degreed data scientists, data engineers, and statisticians in the co-creation and delivery of projects.
· Working knowledge of advanced statistical and data science approaches/principles to effectively manages the work of advanced talent and collaborate effectively with PhD statisticians (primary technologist partners in this role)
· Ability to partner globally with business managers and technologists (some European travel required in the future w/ possible travel to Asia if/when needed)
· Ideal candidate has an advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a statistics, data science, or related field and at least 3-5 years experienced managing a team of individuals and multiple projects.
