Global Safety Innovation Group Associate Scientist

This is an entry level role for employees who develop proficiency in GPS Procedural work and expertise in Application work by combining hands-on experimentation with scientific principles and knowledge from science/engineering education to drive foundational technical understanding and solve technical problems. Delivers technical outputs which address critical innovation challenges and completion of key milestones. May own part of a testing program. Able to independently formulate hypothesis, design experiments to test it, interpret complex data, write reports and publications, communicate results in the business context, including at external events. The primary responsibilities associated with this role are to provide analytical support for our metabolism research program as well as conduct experimentation to develop new in-vitro testing assays that will be used in our ingredient safety testing programs. 


We are looking for someone with a BS/MS degree in Chemistry or the Life Sciences. 

We are seeking an Associate Scientist with a strong background in analytical chemistry as well as an understanding/background in the life sciences. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in the use of HPLC, GC or Mass Spec, strong wet chemistry skills, biological testing or cell culture work, lab management software such as electronic notebook and instrument operating software as well as data analysis software that includes EXCEL and statistical analysis programs.
