Job Description

Sales - Business Unit Specialist -Target Team
Procter & Gamble has an organization based in Minneapolis, Minnesota fully dedicated to managing our business with the Target Corporation. P&G is one of Target’s largest vendors and a key strategic partner for our business. The Target team expects strong performance in every role. We are looking for individuals ready to tackle a dynamic and high-velocity team on a tried and true business.
The P&G Target Team – Administrative Business Unit Specialist - delivers administrative and technical support to drive superior work processes and execution for category-level business, enabling the Target Team to meet or exceed business objectives. A few of the important responsibilities include:

1. Build team capacity and effectiveness via ownership of processes within core business deliverables including: Item set-up and maintenance; Category Event tracking; Sales plan maintenance; CAS volume & promotion input and maintenance; Sales plan walkthrough; Standard business reporting

2. Enable Stewardship via Fund Management processes, including: Trade Fund (internal & external) systems input, proof of performance record-keeping.

3. Develop productive working relationships with key customer contacts and internal partners.

In an average day, you might be pulling reports and sending them out via email to the team, working on the logistics for an upcoming meeting, on the phone with a team member analyzing data to solve an issue, etc. You may also be expected to become an expert in competitive retailers, competitive brands, the consumer, internal initiative planning, and pricing.
Desired Attributes:
Our ideal candidate would have the capability to utilize good communication and interpersonal skills when working with the internal and external team and customers. Candidate should be a self-starter with a “can do” attitude and have the ability to work independently and manage a high-volume workload. The ideal candidate must be a problem-solver, can identify and lead process improvements and have the ability to analyze data and learn new skills when taking on new responsibilities. The ideal candidate would be a technical expert – have advanced knowledge of data retrieval and manipulation processes and experience across a range of computer applications/software packages. Candidates should have a high level of organizational skills and operational discipline and know how to work collaboratively across key partners.
Candidates should be able to work with internal and external partners both virtually (email, phone, WebEx) and in person in the Minneapolis downtown office
Occasional overtime may be required. Relocation is not provided with this position.


Candidates must have a High School diploma or GED or equivalent education.

Candidates must have excellent problem solving skills, capable of managing multiple priorities and projects, good oral and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills. Strong word processing and problem solving skills, exceptional attention to detail, thoroughness and follow-up, strong organizational skills; must be able to set priorities and work independently.

Requires individuals that can manage a demanding work load, and balance self-managed task/projects along with management support needs.
