Researcher - Global Fabric Enhancer Platform R&D Product Design

Delivers executional excellence in Product Design/Development procedural work and experimentation and applies this knowledge to provide foundational understanding and capability for the team, contribute to the planning and execution of a broad range of technical tests, summarize these tests independently, and make correlations to in-depth observations.  Responsible for more complex assembly of samples/ prototypes prototyping, running lab test routines, creating and updating specs based on standard information, developing / executing changes in standard technical solutions for meeting consumer propositions


Qualifications

The scope of this role will be to focus on the product design aspects for LFE for NA and LA. The candidate will lead the execution of product design efforts including the creation and evaluation of prototypes intended to deliver against specific benefit spaces. The candidate will be responsible for contributing to holistic consumer and technical learning plans and leading the generation of technical and performance data associated with these prototypes through an iterative process and along the way and help to build and strengthen our technical models through digital innovation.

Technical Mastery – Demonstrates strong technical mastery and a technical curiosity in the formulation space. Possesses the ability to consistently apply the scientific method to the design and execution of learning activities and experiments with a strong attention to detail. Passion for hands-on experimentation and prototyping in the lab or PRL a must.

Executes with Excellence – Expect to develop mastery in the LFE formulation spaces (if previously not exposed to these spaces). The candidate will be expected to stay current in these formulation spaces and apply new knowledge into practical applications to drive product superiority. Acts with a sense of urgency and is flexible and agile to changing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly evolving environment. Prioritization of work and strong time management skills to enable rapid progress on projects is required.

Builds Diverse Collaborative Relationships – Expect to effectively collaborate across multi-functional organizations though building of relationships with the PR, Process, FEI, and SI&T communities. Establishing a working relationship with these functions will be critical to ensure success in this role.

Effective Communication Skills – Strong communication skills through effective written and concise communication required in a fast-paced, often chaotic environment. Summarization of experimental design, observations, results and insights achieved via technical experimentation through written summary documents, technical reports and SLRs is a must. Should be comfortable in presenting results clearly and concisely in a technical or cross functional forum.

Product Design/Formulation Experience – Previous experience in the product design/formulation space is preferred, but not a requirement. Background and basic understanding of chemistry fundamentals will be important to success in this role.

Strong Laboratory Skills – Strong laboratory fundamentals leveraging the scientific method are a requirement for this role. The candidate should be able to operate independently and have an track record of producing accurate and reliable data through the experiments they are leading.

The work being led by the candidate will have a direct impact on the decisions being made and will help to shape the strategy for the future of LFE.
