Description

Your role in CMK is like an internal business strategy consultant, whose role it is to ensure that consumer and shopper insights are the foundations of our business strategy and execution. We use our boundless curiosity to discover what consumers want, why they want it, and how we can influence them through immersive exploration, in-depth analysis, and good research. We use state of the art analytics tools to dig deep in the data, identifying key business drivers and assessing the impact of investments like advertising and in store promotions. We use big data sources and analytics to understand consumers, markets, and retailers. We answer questions like: What should our brands stand for? Who are our target shoppers? How do we best reach them? How can we create exciting in-store and online shopper experiences?


You are part of a multi-functional business team, constantly exploring new opportunities for business growth. Your key to success will be your ability to build on and combine soft skills with analytical skills, and use integrative thinking to convey research findings to drive actions with your key business partners across levels and functions.


You will report to the Consumer Market Knowledge leader for the brand/region and work extensively with colleagues from other teams including Marketing, Product Supply, Sales, Communications and Finance.


Job Responsibilities

  • Consumer insights and analysis using economic, statistical, trend datasets

  • Designing appropriate consumer research to meet business objectives

  • Driving business results by influencing marketing and media investments, through an analytics-based approach

  • Leading creation and execution of analytic action plans that addresses top priority business challenges

  • Ensuring that your team is actioning consumer insights

  • Working alongside business leaders to champion shopper-based business plans that drive growth in specific retailers and channels

  • Leading analysis presentations to External Retail and Distributor Partners.

  • How success looks like

  • Building strong working relationships and team members, including the Brand, Communications and Media teams to enable the delivery of business priorities

  • Grow into a trusted consumer insights expert who works effectively with your business unit


Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in market data analytics or consumer insights, or an equivalent field
  • A Bachelors/Master’s degree in business, data analytics, psychology, social studies, anthropology, other relevant degrees
  • Strong experience with marketing measurement techniques including Retail Audit Analysis, Brand Health Tracking, and ROI Studies.
