Are you a passionate and creative hands-on Packaging Designer with an eye for aesthetics? Then this is the place for you! We are seeking a person like you to expand our in-house design organization for the Fabric Care business, by bringing to life exceptional design that translates brand strategy as well as our business objectives.
You will report to the Design Director and work with a multifunctional team.
What Success Looks Like
An ideal candidate is able to understand what’s needed by the consumer and market to develop an effective design strategy and create exceptional package design. The individual has a strong desire to lead sophisticated projects from conceptual start to final design delivery with a hands-on approach. You also have strong empathy and non-linear thinking - you see the consumer as a person and ideate solutions with the consumer in mind.
• Own product graphic packaging design strategy all the way to execution while fully articulating the target consumer and business needs
• Brainstorming and ideation from deep consumer insight
• Prototyping and execution end-to-end of new graphic design ideas and initiatives
• Drive executional excellence in packaging design aestheticsQualifications
•Degree or Diploma in Visual Communication or similar discipline
•Strong portfolio with 2-5years experience working on product packaging graphic design for FMCG or retail consumer products. Portfolio will be assessed on creative excellence, storytelling, problem solving and technical mastery.
•Software fluency in the latest graphics and business programs: Adobe CS (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
•Outstanding collaboration skills while engaging and influencing with multiple business partners.
•Project management, time management and accountability to deliver projects.
•Proactivity, resourcefulness and having a strong passion to always elevate the standard of design
•Having an understanding of print feasibility is a plus.
