Overview of role
Do you want to pursue a career as a fragrance product designer who develops Irresistibly Superior Freshness systems for our Fabric and Home Care (F&HC) products? Perfume is a critical driver of consumer delight and business growth in nearly every category in P&G. Developing a successful freshness system in F&HC requires a combination of strong scientific and creative skills, understanding of our brand equities and consumer needs, as well as mechanistic understanding of product chassis and perfume delivery technologies.

Located at the P&G Singapore Innovation Center, the individual will be part of Fragrances & Flavors Discipline and Fabric & Home Care organization unit. You will work in multi-functional innovation teams, commercial partners and strategic suppliers.
How success looks like
Identify winning freshness systems (including perfumes and delivery technologies).
Co-create innovation pipeline for our Fabric and Home care products.
Build and maintain professional relationship with external perfume houses.
Demonstrate leadership and positive collaboration with multi-functional teams.
The job is a multi-faceted, highly visible role focused on leading scent evaluation, design and execution of Irresistibly Superior fragrances for our Asia F&HC brands. The ideal candidate must demonstrate a bias for action and innovation. The key responsibilities of this position include:
Developing key fragrance-related consumer insights and translating those into directions that guide the creation of superior fragrances for our brands.
Inspiring, Motivating and Providing critical, consumer driven evaluation feedback to P&G and Perfume House perfumers to help guide them in the development of Irresistibly Superior perfumes. Providing fragrance project leadership, working with category PR customers, internal, and external perfume resources.
Develop new methodologies that improve Perfume's capability to create and identify superior fragrances that help drive purchase intent and build brand equity.
Provide coaching to Project Managers within Perfume that enable the flawless execution of initiatives. Leverage the effective use of external perfume resources to complement our internal perfume capability to meet project objectives.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or related fields
A good knowledge of olfactive, market and consumer understanding in the region
Relevant experience in fragrances development or FMCG industry that involves olfactory assessments of scents
Experience in data analysis and Statistical methods (tools, systems, software such as JMP etc.) is a bonus but not a must.
Strong leadership, collaboration, presentation & communication skills (oral & written communication) to work with people from different cultures and levels, both internally and externally
