OVERVIEW OF ROLE

Keen to play a critical data transformation leader role to accelerate Beauty Sector R&D wide Data Discovery & Monetization portfolio?

The Beauty Measures, Models and Digital Innovation (BMM&DI) - Beauty Sector organization is responsible for leading innovations across Hair, Skin and Personal Care businesses. The organization leads and translates fast paced Data and Digital innovation capabilities to accelerate category growth with a high degree of consumer centricity.

As Director leading the organization, you will be accountable for Beauty Sector Data programs from leading the strategy to execution, partnering globally with key technologists and team members to build and deliver a robust portfolio of Beauty Digital projects.

YOUR TEAM

Located at the P&G Singapore Innovation Center at Biopolis, you will report to a Senior Director. The role based in Singapore, is global in nature where you will closely partner with multi-functional global R&D teams and IT.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • Work across multiple digital platforms, including delivery of existing technologies whilst exploring disruptive and strategically important digital approaches

  • Develop and grow a highly talented data and modelling team to deliver outstanding capabilities and delivery to the category

  • Embed a Digital first mind set to R&D workflows and processes

  • Maintain and maximize key strategic relationships with internal and external partners to deliver innovation effectively

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Transform development and deployment of Beauty R&D Data strategy

  • Sharpen digital strategy, Co-define Jobs-to-be-Done, lead use case

  • Establish and champion digital/platform to product roadmap

  • Lead and guide Data science and Engineering experts

  • Embrace iterative learning from design to operations across global data portfolio

  • Translate emergent digital approaches to business impact


Qualifications
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the consumer goods industry

  • A consumer centric mindset, with a passion for serving the needs of the consumer.

  • Knowledge in design and delivery of Digital Product, Quantitative Science, Predictive Modeling, Scientific and technical aspects of data applications in data monetization e.g., Digital Product Research, E-commerce, Diagnostics, Sensors, Data pipeline/architecture.

  • Deep understanding of data and modelling opportunities and challenges

  • Experience in Digital innovation (including new technologies, approaches) and landing key innovations.

  • Proven experience working with key partners and suppliers for innovation

  • Experience of leading global programs with multi-functional stakeholders and multi-disciplinary teams in a highly matrixed environment. Technology and/or Engineering related

  • Adept at translating technology into concepts that consumers and business can access and understand, ultimately resulting in winning products in the market.

  • Evidence of envisioning, a future focused Data R&D portfolio, seeing beyond today and how innovation can help unlock consumer and business challenges into the future

  • Quantitative skills or Data expertise and willingness to upskill in Data science where she/he has sufficient working knowledge to manage cross-functional data Science/Engineering/IT team.

  • UEX/UX/UI and Data analytics expertise will be ideal
