Your Role as Material, Process & Package Delivery Director (m/f/d)

You will support the business by ensuring continuous raw material supply, ensuring competitiveness by carrying out changes to suppliers/materials/production processes for structural cost savings and enables productivity improvements and manufacturing excellence.

THE ROLE HAS FIVE MAIN FOCUS AREAS:

1. Supply assurance: Support the daily operations of the PHC supply chains by working in a multi-functional team to resolve quality issues and improve process performance of the making processes.

2. Making capacity projects: Improve the making capacity by eliminating losses and introducing new making technologies/processes.

3. Initiative support: Support the introduction of new products in the PHC Making areas to create revenue for the company.

4. Cost savings: Lead and support cost savings projects for the qualification of new raw materials and making processes. The plant team works in a close collaboration with the global Research & Development and MPD organizations.

5. Organisation leadership: mobilise and empower group members, and improve technical and systems capability - linking to global and plant specific work processes.


Qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following background/ skills:

  • Educational background: Chemical engineering, Life science or Pharmaceutical sciences background.
  • Technical Expertise: You have Making, Process or Chemical expertise and is eager to learn the PHC making technology quickly and apply science to implement projects. Expected to learn and then optimally apply various tools to run projects and/or address problem analysis and solutions in a Plant environment. Partners with technical specialists to look for insights and alternative solutions.
  • Communication/language skills: You should be proficient in German and English. The MPD Process team has to participate in multiple global meetings/calls (i.e. technical readiness, initiative and MST meetings) every week. The MPD Leader must ensure qualification/validation, technical readiness and learning reports are produced in English.
  • Leadership: You have experience working in technical projects & with multifunctional groups including Plant resources, Purchasing, Suppliers, Global Product Stewardship, R&D, etc. This also includes planning and completing feasibility trials / EOs (experimental order) in the manufacturing environment. Bias for action is a crucial behaviour element to be successful.
  • Project Management: You can identify the end objective and work-back a plan and critical path analysis to implement saving projects. This includes breaking a project up into breakthroughs and monitoring completion (follow-up and follow-through). Ability to understand/learn material cost structures and financial measures of the business is required.
