Dual Study Bachelor of Engineering degree course "Mechanical engineering, focus on construction and development"(m/f/d)

Apply Now
The mechanical engineer specializing in construction and development presents ideas in drafts and drawings that either relate to the development of a new product or the further development of an existing product. In order to be able to constructively realize the required functionality and the desired product properties, the design engineer must master the physical laws in theory and practice, know the interaction of the design elements, observe the external conditions (temperatures, corrosion, wear, etc.) and the appealing design of the product .

In addition to these technical aspects, however, he also has to consider the cost-effectiveness of the product. This is expressed, on the one hand, in the manufacturing costs, because the design engineer has a significant influence on the manufacturing and assembly costs through the design and choice of materials. On the other hand, the profitability of a product is also expressed in the subsequent operating costs, i.e. the costs for operation, maintenance, etc. that arise during the entire service life.

The practical phases include an exciting and varied range of tasks with a high degree of personal responsibility in a technically diverse company and a friendly and professional environment. After graduation, there is also the possibility of further development within the global Procter & Gamble group. The theoretical phase takes place at our cooperation partner, the Baden-Württemberg Cooperative State University in Mosbach (DHBW).

- Interest in math, science and technology
- Sensitivity and interest in technical contexts
- Independence, teamwork and creativity
- Pre-study internship: 1 month before the start of studies in October
- General university entrance qualification or technical college entrance qualification (study aptitude test at the DHWB required)
