Operations Manager leads and continuously improves end-to-end service delivery including vendor governance for a Service or Critical Business Process on regional level for a platform. Ensures operational excellence. Accountable for all aspects of service provision counting overall quality of service, service transition, service operations and service level management, controls, and financial management.

Business Purpose of Job:

The GDSN Europe Operations Manager is responsible for daily processes supporting product data maintenance and publication for GDSN (Global Data Synchronization Network) in Europe. Tasks include ensuring smooth, ongoing collaboration between P&G regional teams (Product Supply/Sales & Operations), responsibility for publishing product data to retailers in the countries and Infosys BPO team which maintains the data. For any special requests/changes in the process the Operation Managers gathers the requirements, coordinates the priorities alignment with all partners and supervises the change execution.

GDSN is a global industry standard used by manufacturers and retailers worldwide.

Important Responsibilities:

  • Understanding, standardizing and optimizing GDSN maintenance processes across Europe
  • Building technical expertise on 1WorldSync solutions used for GDSN publication process
  • Identifying the data sources and stakeholders to ensure data is maintained across P&G in a way to meet GDSN (GS1) global standards
  • Coordination of Vendor Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) support team work
  • Analyzing requirements and preparing business process design for new data maintenance requests
  • Acting as Project Manager for any new Europe GDSN implementation project
  • Educate market on GDSN
  • Test technical readiness for the local solutions
  • Conduct matching & mapping with local P&G resources
  • Prepare list of technical & business requirements
  • Collaborate with technical teams on new GS1 releases
  • Lead testing (UAT) process
  • Plan and execute technical & business go-live
  • Move from project into ongoing operations for a new market
  • Communicate project status to the business
  • Acting as an escalation point for regional P&G GDSN issues
  • Establishing and governing data maintenance quality standards with vendors

Candidate Profile

  • Experience with Service Operations Competency and Strong Vendor Management skills
  • Experience in Business Transformation and Project Management
  • IT Experience and/or education: ITIL certification is a plus
  • Soft Skills: Strong Leadership and End to End Ownership/ Strong Written and Oral Communication Skills
