The European Financial Leadership Seminar 2009

The European Financial Leadership Seminar is a one-week working session which was for the very first time initiated in 1990 to give students the opportunity to get to know us and what we are doing in P&G. Also for us to identify possible candidates whom might want to join us later in the year.

During this week, you and other excellent students will run a multinational business, developing your management and financial skills by working in teams and interact with experienced P&G executives.

The EFS will expose you to a real life business case study, which challenges you to develop strategies and drive decisions together with top students from all over the world.

This year we had approximately 4,100 applications out of which we’ve selected 25. EFS has not lost its “magic” formula to give a crash course in P&G culture. We had a diverse group - 16 different nationalities amongst the 25 students, and a 40/60 gender (female/male) split. This resulted in a very interesting group with challenging dynamics - exactly what we need to make EFS inspirational to the students. For the last 9 years we have run the course in the Geneva Business Center. Students mentioned very positively the unique working environment, and the impression of working among the “normal” P&G employees at GBC.

We don’t communicate many details about the content upfront, as part of the challenge is to cope with the many surprises that you will encounter during the seminar. So, don’t miss this unforgettable experience!

One thing is for sure, you won’t be disappointed. Just see what participants of previous EFS experienced:

"During this week we learned to fly: to fly to our dreams, our goals and our future. This event made me believe in myself even more than before. I know that I can but all together we can even more!" - Sandra Poznaka

"The European Financial Leadership Seminar at Procter & Gamble is something more than Financial Seminar. During a week we had a chance not only to see what exactly Finance at P&G means but also to acquire wide range of skills. Learning, self-development, gaining knowledge about way the people at P&G work, meetings with top executives for whole Europe. That is the way I perceive EFS. And everything, what is in fact among most important reasons to go for EFS in the spirit of a great fun among great people, both participants and P&G employees hosting us! Having a possibility again I would not hesitate to apply again." - Michal Karwat

"It was without doubt one of the best experiences of my life and I am certain that the knowledge and perspectives that I gained from the richly diverse group of people who attended will remain with me for life." - Nicholas Crosby
