The company, which was founded in 1837 in Cincinnati, has one of the largest and strongest portfolios of trusted, quality brands, including Pantene ®, Herbal Essences ®, Wella ®, Gillette ®, Braun ®, Pampers ®, Ariel ®, Always ®, Pringles ®, Lenor ®, Oral-B ® and Max-Factor ®.
P&G employs approximately 135,000 people globally, more than 15.000 of them in Germany. This makes Germany the biggest subsidiary of P&G outside the United States.

Since 1960, P&G has been located in about 20 sites across Germany, including three Innovation Centres. The Headquarters has been located in Schwalbach am Taunus (Rhein-Main-area) since 1970. The acquisitions of Wella (2003) and Gillette (2005) added two more Headquarters. Wella is located in Darmstadt, Gillette/Braun has its head office in Kronberg/Taunus.
