P&G employs approximately 138,000 people globally, more than 15.000 of them in Germany. This makes Germany the biggest subsidiary of P&G outside the United States.
Since 1960, P&G has been located in about 20 sites across Germany, including three Innovation Centres with about 1000 employees within Research and Development. The Headquarters has been located in Schwalbach am Taunus (Rhein-Main-area) since 1970. The acquisitions of Wella (2003) and Gillette (2005) added two more Headquarters-Wella is located in Darmstadt, Gillette/Braun has its head office in Kronberg/Taunus.
