Consumer Market Knowledge Internships
Eligibility:We enrol students who are in their penultimate or ultimate year of study, to gain a real work experience while still at university. Description:As an intern in the Consumer & Market Knowledge department you will be responsible for a current project, being an integral part of a brand's business team. You will support the team in qualifying local, regional and global initiatives by identifying the information needs about consumers and markets. You will analyse information from a variety of sources, evolve, develop and validate existing and new testing methods to help the team take the right business decision.
You will work with more senior managers and expert resources to choose the best research tools and tests to address the problem/opportunity, culminating in recommending research design. You will use appropriate analysis, integration/synthesis and segmentation tools and learn to make recommendations on how to maximize the potential of the opportunity being researched. You will ensure that business partners (Marketing, R&D, CBD, etc.) know what consumers and/or shoppers/customers are saying by proactively seeking, analysing and sharing learning. You will also gain a foundational understanding of the market and consumer in terms of market size, growth, key segments, consumer habits, practices, attitudes etc. based on existing data available. In customer/shopper area, gains fundamental understanding of customer, retail industry trends and shoppers.
To achieve this, you will work with all sections of the CMK Function as well as outside suppliers and Operations (where available) and benefit from formal training as well as thorough on-the-job coaching from your manager.
