During your career as Marketer you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging assignments that will enable you to develop your marketing and business skills.
Some of these assignments include:
- Local Brand Management: As our Chairman A.G. Lafley rightly puts it “the only strategy the consumer experiences is execution.” Working in one of our local Market Development Organizations (MDO) or in Brand Operations will enable you to define and execute holistic marketing plans to win with our Brands in our local markets to deliver our volume and sales objectives, and customizing your plans to target each shopper group. Your challenges will typically involve working with a multifunctional team and external agencies to implement plans that will win at every consumer touch point: in the store, internet, direct marketing, with external influencers... up to the media planning! You will be responsible for defining the growth strategy and go-to-market strategy for your Brand, leveraging local assets and capabilities to deliver our volume and sales objectives, customizing your plans to target each shopper group.
- Regional or Global Brand management: Assignments in our Global Business Units (GBU) can have a global or regional scope. You gain a deep understanding of our consumers to inspire you to design the plans that will deliver our long-term business goals. Your challenges will typically involve working in close collaboration with your local Marketing colleagues and advertising agencies to design relevant marketing plans for the consumer. Amongst other things, this assignment will enable you to define and shape your Brand’s equity, and produce marketing and communications plans. You will be responsible for adjusting Brand strategy / tactics as needed to achieve our business volume, sales and profit goals.
All Marketing assignments will allow you to constantly interact with all the other business functions to broaden your experience. Our training is widely acknowledged as the best in the business. No wonder most of the Company’s top managers come from the Marketing function.
