Software Engineer

Overview of the Job:
 

As a QA Lead, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and performance of our web applications built with Node.js and React. Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing testing strategies using Agile and DevOps practices. You will lead the QA team in delivering high-quality IT solutions that align with business objectives. Your expertise in automated testing frameworks and collaboration with development teams will enhance our ability to deliver reliable software products efficiently

Your Team:

This role will report to the Purchases and Financial Services IT Director based in Cincinnati. Working in the IT team in P&G Global Business Services, you will be part of a growing team of Software Engineers leading innovation for our internal users across the globe.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead the QA team in developing and implementing comprehensive testing strategies for web applications.

  • Lead the design, development, and execution of automated test scripts using Jest and other testing frameworks.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to ensure quality throughout the software development life cycle.

  • Establish and maintain testing environments, tools, and processes to support continuous integration and deployment.

  • Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior QA team members.

  • Monitor and report on testing progress, defects, and quality metrics to stakeholders.

  • Participate in sprint planning and ensure testing efforts align with project goals and timelines.

  • Advocate for quality and best practices within the team and across the organization.

Job Qualifications

Role Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a focus on automated testing.

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Experience in using automated testing frameworks, specifically Jest is a plus.

  • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.

  • Experience with testing web applications, APIs, and microservices.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
