This leader will report directly to the Plant Manager and serve as a key member of the Plant Leadership Team.

The role requires a high-impact individual with proven leadership experience, solid understanding of digital technologies, and a strong ability to connect with manufacturing processes. This position is not part of the global IT structure but will be embedded in the local PS (Product Supply) organization to ensure close alignment with plant operations and manufacturing objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, build, and execute the Site Digital Master Plan in alignment with plant business objectives (CBN).

  • Act as the Digital Transformation Champion at the site, leading innovation initiatives from conception to deployment.

  • Drive simplification, elimination, and digitization of analog processes, leveraging Industry 4.0 technologies.

  • Identify digital opportunities within manufacturing and engineering environments (e.g., automation, paperless processes, AI, IoT, Big Data).

  • Lead and influence cross-functional teams to adopt digital tools and new ways of working.

  • Collaborate with internal partners (GBS Services, Category TISLs, Engineering/ICA) to integrate site-level digital programs with regional/global initiatives.

  • Ensure readiness and change management for digital projects, including cultural and mindset shifts toward operational digital excellence.

  • Manage the digital transformation budget, timelines, and project deliverables.

  • Coach and mentor the local digital team, acting as a role model in leadership and transformation.

  • Support digital BCP (Business Continuity Planning), digital infrastructure (above and below firewall), and compliance with cybersecurity and QA requirements.

  • Collaborate with the Site Change Management Board to ensure digital priorities are considered and tracked.

Job Qualifications

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, digital transformation, or a related leadership role.

  • Demonstrated experience in successfully leading digital or operational transformation projects.

Technical Must-Haves:

  • Solid understanding of Industry 4.0 principles and how they apply in manufacturing environments.

  • Knowledge of digital technologies such as:

    • Automation & Industrial Controls

    • Paperless Manufacturing Transformation

    • Data Analytics & Visualization Tools (e.g., Power BI, etc)

    • AI, Machine Learning, IoT and Big Data

  • Experience with SAP or other ERP systems is a plus.

  • Understanding of digital architecture, application integration, and infrastructure concepts.

Note: While deep technical skills are not required, the candidate must be tech-savvy enough to challenge teams, build strategic plans, and connect technology with business needs.

Soft Skills:

  • Visionary Leadership: Able to lead through influence, inspire change, and create momentum around digital initiatives.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to see the big picture, identify value-adding opportunities, and build long-term digital roadmaps.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Can communicate complex concepts clearly across multiple stakeholders (plant floor to leadership).

  • Collaborative Approach: Works well in cross-functional and cross-cultural environments.

  • Agility and Adaptability: Capable of navigating ambiguity and driving results in evolving scenarios.

  • Resilience and Ownership: Takes full ownership of the digital agenda, with persistence to overcome obstacles and deliver impact.
